Aren't all relationships supposed to be "Happily Ever After"? That's what we're made to believe as young girls. Some believe that 'true' love doesn't exist, I on the other hand, believe differently. I still love princesses and princes falling in love and being happily ever after as much as I did as a little girl. I love everything about a fairy tale, as I'm sure Josh would tell you. In all seriousness though, I do believe that we can have our own happily ever after's in REAL LIFE! I've experienced my parent's happily ever after, and my grandparents' happily ever after. I mean, I'm sure there were some bumps along with way to 50 years. Everything can't happen like to storybooks tell us they do.
I feel like I'm one of the fortunate ones, to have my parents still married.......but they're happily married, so I feel even more blessed. No violence, abuse, cohabitation, separation, or divorce in my family (with the exception of one aunt, who now has a wonderful husband). My genogram will be filled with solid lines, not broken ones. It may be bore my teacher to death, but I have my family intact. And, that's all that matters to me!

It may bore your teacher, but in no way can anyone describe your family as boring!! I felt like I was in "Enchanted" while reading your post. It made me smile, and I'm pretty sure there were some animals singing around me. I think it was a banjo picking opossum and a band of cockroach mariachis; I'm not sure I could be wrong.

Don't get "Enchanted" confused with "Ella Enchanted" because "Enchanted" is waayyyy better!!
Thank you boyfriend for the distinction between "Enchanted" and "Ella Enchanted". ;) Those cockroach mariachis are the BEST!! You make me smile and there are always animals surrounding us, singing about cleaning and making me beautiful dresses. :)
